Farewell Sir

Arthur C. Clarke 16 December 1917 – 19 March 2008

I know it sounds ridiculous but the thing i'll always remember him for is the Arthur C. Clarke's Mysterious World TV Show, i was completely crazy about it, it led me to this portuguese Homage page, it's wonderful, if you loved the series do check it out:

We can still remember the first time we watched this marvellous TV series. It was in the early 90’s when RTP, the Portuguese broadcasting channel, decided to rerun the show on Saturday afternoons, just after lunchtime. Making use of our uncle’s VHS recorder the two of us stood patiently in front of the television screen waiting for the end of the one o’clock newscast, the magical moment where we pressed the red balled REC button. That crystal skull rotating at the beginning of each episode became permanently engraved in our memory. Every 25 minute section of the series was a box full of fascinating themes, many complete discoveries for young boys like us: some of them were amusing and inspiring. Others bore heavy implications and haunted us for a long time.
