Crafty Update

Craft-wise i've been mostly knitting, finished My-So-Called-Scarf, which is a lousy name for a quite good pattern, if you want to see my knitting updates start checking out this amazing site Ravelry, my nick is Escalla, if you enjoy knitting or crochet that is the site for you.

Origami-wise i've been doing interesting things, i've finally learned the Dan of Toasters variation of one of the simpler Kawasaki roses, just trust me it's really cool, and i'm really very proud of myself, also i learned in a pinch the Swallow Tail Butterfly by Michael LaFosse (Thanks V. for that link, who would've known).

World Origami Day 1

I did tsurus during a book club reading and actually taught 2 people the tsuru in Café no Chiado.
I gave B. a Ninja Death Star (model different than the one in the link).
I gave my friend Rhys a parrot (although i plan to make a more intricate model today).
We had dinner in a Vegetarian Restaurant called Psi, whose symbol is a butterfly i left them a whole pile of origami butterflies (the classic model by Akira Yoshizawa)
