Busy Holidays

Tomorrow is the portuguese version of Independence Day, according to Wikipedia:

Restoration of Portugal's independence (from Spain) in 1640.

The country's original independence (from the Kingdom of León) was recognized on the 5th of October of 1143. That day is a holiday in Portugal, but for a different reason. (Implantation of the Republic, or Republic Day. Event of 1910.) Note that none of these events are similar to today's declarations or recognition of independence as these are in fact the recognition of the rule of a king to the land. Portugal existed as a separated entity before 1143 and during the union with Spain between 1580-1640.
And on the 8th of December is the holiday for the Immaculate Conception.
I absolutely love scheduling Vacations during these 2 holidays, i can enjoy the christmas decorations and maybe even do some Christmas shopping. Unfortunately my bosses never let me do this, but this year i actually managed it, so i will be on vacation from the 1st of December to the 10th of December!
Yay!! 10 days of sweet fare niente!!!
According to the Dictionary:
va·ca·tion Pronunciation (v-kshn, v-)
n.
1. A period of time devoted to pleasure, rest, or relaxation, especially one with pay granted to an employee.
2.
a. A holiday.
b. A fixed period of holidays, especially one during which a school, court, or business suspends activities.
3. Archaic The act or an instance of vacating.
This is of course absolutely false, in every vacations i plan to do meaningful things like organize my comics or clean up my room and visit with everyone who i may feel i am neglecting lately, maybe look up houses so i can finally move out.
None of these things ever cames true, i never do anything particularly useful.
Does it look like these vacations will be the same as always? Yes, but i won't mind. These vacations as usual are already totally planed out!
On the next three days i'll be serving as Lisbon host to my dear friend and Origami Mistress M, i'll be responsible for making sure she has a good time and that we visit lots of places, i can't guarantee that we'll see many places (because i keep getting lost), but at least she should be able to laugh through our adventures (oh believe me, whenever i try to get someplace adventures are sure to ensue).
Expect a later report of how this weekend will come!

Also lately it has come to my attention that i'm too expansive, effusive even, a real live Espalha-Brasas. I was always very "cheerful", it's natural to me, i get it from my mom, i'm also highly empathic, if someone is sad i compensate, but the weird part is that people respond to it very warmly. Why is it weird you might ask? Well when i was in high school i was considered a highly annoying person, i'd barely let out two words before being silenced, so when people actually express interest about me speaking for two hours about something idiotic, i can't help but find it weird!!
Also about 90% of what i say is idiotic, nonsensical or just plain stupid, i talk a lot so inevitably i end up saying a lot of right things in the middle, not only that i don't believe anything and i believe everything! I question everything always to no conclusion whatsoever, when i exhaust my perspectives i look for other perspectives.
Perception is everything and the human being is really quite diverse at it! I also try to be as nonjudgmental as i can be, which is a lot harder than it may appear!
