Weekend Wanderings

I've spent the most wonderful weekend.
Too bad i don't have a single photo of Saturday, i totally forgot my camera which was just as well since i didn't have my Memory Stick properly inserted in the camera for over a week and i've only noticed it Sunday.

Saturday
Had to wake up and be ready early so as to be picked up by my new neighbor T, I was of course late because of the Tupperware incident, but that's another story, we rushed to the airport to pick up T (and no she did not fly to Lisbon), after a bit of confusion with directions, departures and arrivals. We followed to Feira da Ladra where we met up with T, M, F and I.
From there we wandered around the city, shopping like mad.
Near lunch hour we were joined by F and Q. We ended up going to an unusual indian restaurant, i don't quite remember the place (it was near Rossio) and it was on the first floor of a building, the food was great either way.
Afterwards we went to F's house, where we proceeded to make as much noise as possible (at least according to some complaints) while crafting, that included playing with stamps and punchers, origamis, knitting, some beading and even a tutorial for modeling.
That was when M unveiled (unboxed actually) her surprise to me, my new housemate and a the star of many small stories and adventures, The Faerie:

You can see some of her adventures already in here.
It was an incredible day, i arrived at home exhausted but the weekend wasn't over yet, oh no, not by a longshot

Sunday
It was decided that this would be the day of the BookCrossing Meetup in FIBDA 2006!
I'm choosing not to discuss the Festival in here, it was disappointing as it was the last few years, the climate control is still not perfect and this year the features were very lame.
To see the photos i took go here.
Still it was a pleasant afternoon where we talked of comics, chit-chat and books.

I'd like to thank the two special ladies (M and T) that traveled specially to Lisbon for this weekend for the great time i had, i hope they enjoyed it as well, and i hope i played a good host.
Also thanks to the two crafters (I and F) whom i met Saturday, so far i had only admired their work from afar, and it was an unexpected pleasure to actually meet them.
